On Tuesday 8 July, the PSCC organised a webinar presenting the BPI’s convertible bond scheme for deep-tech companies. Stefka Le Fur, Start-up Support Project Manager at SATT PARIS SACLAY, presented the scheme and the certification criteria.
In practical terms, the scheme enables start-ups less than three years old to boost their fundraising efforts in order to accelerate the development of highly technology-intensive innovation projects.
Stefka discussed:
- The profile of deep-tech companies eligible for the scheme: those certified by a French Tech Seed (FTS) business introducer , such as the consortium coordinated by SATT Paris-Saclay, or winners of the I-Lab or C-Innov competitions.
- The forms of support: Co-financing in the form of convertible bonds, in the event of seed funding raised from sophisticated private investors.
- The amount of financial support: Between €50,000 and €250,000, subject to a limit of 2€ in FTS convertible bonds for every 1€ in equity, and up to €500,000, subject to a limit of 2€ in FTS convertible bonds for every 1€ in equity.
